Busy boarding/daycare facility in need of part-time (15-25 hrs a week) Kennel Attendant. We are a small team of reliable animal lovers. MUST be available weekends and all Holidays.
We are looking for qualified candidates with an underlying love for dogs. This opportunity requires someone with knowledge of dogs and their behavior, being proactive rather than reactive, and handling themselves with poise. We are a family run business and treat our employees as such. We are looking for someone reliable with positive attitude, diligence, punctuality, and eagerness! This can be an extremely rewarding job.
Basic Qualifications:
Team player
Good physical shape
Comfortable on feet during shift
Positive attitude
Comfortable with barking
Unafraid of any sized dog
These qualifications a plus:
- Pursuing a future in pet industry, customer service, or veterinary services
- Dog bathing/groming experience
- Volunteering for animal causes
Job duties include:
-Cleaning indoor/outdoor dog runs
-Feeding, medicating dogs
-Bathing, brushing, nail trims
-Sweeping, cleaning and mopping of kennel buildings and work areas
-Supervising group play times
- Some office work
Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently, stand for extended periods of time, and work indoors and outdoors including in inclement weather. Must be comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes. The right candidate will also be punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, able to follow instructions, and work independently. Must be at least 18 yrs old
