CAREGIVER NEEDED FOR ACTIVE PARAPLEGIC BY MONDAY 4/1/2024
Caregiver needed starting April 8, 2024 (possibly sooner) for male paraplegic.
I am 62 years old and need a reliable caregiver to help me with daily routine. Approx 24 hours a week on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
Need help with:
Bowel Program/Showers
Dressing
Range of motion exercises
Transfers (mostly using Hoyer lift)
Medical Supply Management
Light meal preparation
House Cleaning and assistance organizing.
Errands
Potentially Driving me to Appointments
Approx Hours -
Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Must Speak English, be legal resident with Social Security number, driver’s license & vehicle. Also, you must pass background check.
The other characteristics you should exhibit are: trustworthiness, reliability, strength, organization skills, and the ability to work around large dogs
Some Flexibility with hours
Able to learn and you must be able to listen when I am directing my own care.
CNA preferred.
Experience with people with Spinal Cord Injuries preferred.
Will train. Need someone who can fit in with my schedule. I lead a moderate lifestyle and I'm trying to be as independent as possible. Long term employment is possible.
Compensation:
Hourly Wage In Home Supportive Services (IHSS)
