Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled PCR Laboratory Technician with experience in using the Bio-Rad CFX96 Real-Time PCR System to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine PCR testing, analyzing data, and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality control in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PCR assays using the Bio-Rad CFX96 Real-Time PCR System
- Prepare and handle samples for DNA/RNA extraction and amplification
- Conduct real-time PCR data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Maintain and calibrate PCR equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all laboratory protocols and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to optimize PCR workflows and troubleshoot issues
- Document experimental procedures and results in a clear, organized manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with the Bio-Rad CFX96 Real-Time PCR System
- Proficiency in PCR data analysis software and interpreting results
- Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques, particularly PCR
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a regulated laboratory environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting
- Knowledge of quality control and troubleshooting for PCR instruments
