We are looking for a hardworking and motivated all around dental assistant as well as an insurance/Tx coordinator (PPO and Dentical experience preferred) that is willing to grow and contribute to join our team of all stars. Job Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office.
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
Update calendars and schedule meetings
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Manage all EOB’s (post, review & follow up), correspondence and claims to and from insurance companies. Files appeals as necessary to receive proper payment, which include narratives and electronic x-ray attachment.
Post patient payments, deductibles and note progress for claim resubmittal if needed to primary or secondary insurance in patient ledgers. Ensure proper balancing of patient ledgers.
Calls patients with an outstanding balance and explains the balance. This keeps an open line of communication and a sense of trust to patient.
