Location: Remote (Preference given to candidates licensed in Arizona or California)

We are a boutique litigation firm focused on mortgage compliance, consumer finance, and related legal matters. Our practice is rooted in delivering strategic legal solutions for clients navigating the complexities of regulatory and litigation risks. As we grow, we are seeking a capable and driven Associate Attorney to join our team.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney with 2–5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in mortgage compliance, consumer finance, or real estate law. You must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage a caseload from pre-litigation through resolution with limited supervision. This is a fully remote position, but candidates based in Arizona or California are strongly preferred due to jurisdictional and court appearance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle all aspects of litigation, including case evaluation, legal research, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances

Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence

Collaborate with paralegals and legal support to manage case files and deadlines

Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and regulatory agencies

Advise clients on legal compliance related to mortgage lending, servicing, and foreclosure practices

Stay current on federal and state regulatory developments impacting the mortgage industry

Attend hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings (virtually or in-person as needed)

Qualifications:

Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California or Arizona (multi-state licensure a plus)

2–5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably with focus in mortgage, real estate, or financial services law

Familiarity with RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, CFPB regulations, and state-specific compliance rules

Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines

Comfortable with remote work technologies and case management platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a remote law firm environment

Background in defending mortgage lenders or servicers

Familiarity with e-filing systems (CM/ECF, One Legal, Odyssey, etc.)
