Independent Living Skills Programs Developmental Disabled . Independent Living Skills Trainers support people with disabilities who are living in the on their own or desire to live on their own. Skills trainers provide training in , house keeping, shopping, meal prep ,household & money management, health & personal safety, and accessing community resources & recreational activities.Aside for basic requirement we are looking for people that enjoy teaching and sharing their passions, skills and experiences.
Specifically looking for someone with experience dealing with Large Males with Mental Illness or other co-occurring disorders. Not necessarily looking for a BCBA or a specific degree. Really looking for someone who has experience managing crisis, assessment and development of services plans for individuals with severe behaviors. Able to deal with challenging personalities and behaviors.
The agency is ready to expand and we are looking for staff that we can eventually train to grow into role of program manager , program supervisor, case manager, behavioral specialist. Or you can make your own job if you have the right skills. Everyone will start off providing direct service.
Also prefer Bilingual - Spanish but not a requirement.
Pay from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour + phone and mileage.
Position is for 30+ hours per week. We have cases all over Orange County but we try to mold our cases to fit staff preference/location. Currently looking for a case load to cover primarily Areas of Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, and Costa Mesa.
Must be over 18 years old , have a H.S diploma, a car w/clean driving record.
