Interior Design Assistant - Design-Build Company

We are a successful and established company specializing in residential remodels and ground-up builds in Orange County, CA and beyond.

We are busy and looking for someone efficient to begin immediately.

Training is provided but must be skilled and add value to our team.

In-office role, at our office located in Laguna Hills, CA

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

Design support:

Attend multiple client meetings each week, take notes during meeting.

Work closely with the designer to develop and execute concepts that align with client needs and project specifications.

Create digital Concepts and Material Finish Schedules for designer to present during weekly client meetings.

Prepare and Draft digital Concepts and Material Finish Schedules in DocuSign for client approval.

Perform site visits to our projects to photograph, measure and deliver products and materials.

Ability to lift and move large sample tiles (must be physically capable of performing tasks requiring heavy lifting).

Purchasing:

Source, purchase and track appliance, plumbing and material orders.

Manage and maintain digital files and software systems daily to ensure all essential data is up to date and readily available for project support.

Work with Office Manager to inventory and track material and product deliveries to the warehouse and project sites.

Maintain and develop Vendor relationships

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Interior Design or Minimum 3 years Relevant Industry Experience.

Proficiency Required in: Microsoft Office / Google Suite.

3-D Renderings / Sketch UP / AutoCAD / Photoshop / Adobe Creative Suite a huge Plus!

Basic knowledge of building codes and understand technical aspects of architecture and construction a Plus!

Ability to create, read, and interpret technical drawings. Experience reading blueprints/schematics, etc.

Knowledge and skill with selections and specifications of construction finish materials, furniture, accessories.

Strong and effective communication skills with the ability to work well with people at various levels.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Reliable and Dependable, with a strong work ethic.

Team player, positive, enthusiastic and motivated self-starter.

Multi-tasks with ease and thrives in a very active professional environment.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must have reliable transportation and be willing to use own car to pick up and transport tile material samples to office or project sites.

Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Starting Pay Rate is $26 per hour, 1099, Part-time position.
