Horizons Construction is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent / Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position is essential to maintaining cost control and operational efficiency across our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing Agent Duties:
Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, rentals, and supplies needed for ongoing projects.
Track and control costs for job-specific purchases, ensuring alignment with project budgets, and coordinate with Company Accounts Payable.
Manage vendor relationships, maintain pricing records, and secure competitive terms.
Coordinate delivery schedules to avoid project delays.
Warehouse Manager Duties:
Oversee the inventory of company materials, tools, and equipment stored in the warehouse.
Use the company assigned software or update the systems for tracking material usage, equipment check-in/check-out, and replenishment needs. Coordinate with company mechanic.
Make suggestions and ensure warehouse operations are safe, clean, and compliant with company standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction contractors purchasing, and warehouse management.
Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
Proficiency in inventory and cost-tracking software is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
