Data Pre-Sales Representative

This position requires full-time, in-office attendance from 9:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday, making this opportunity ideal for local applicants within commuting distance.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development of incremental revenues for Melissa by learning and understanding our products and services at a high level, along with the benefits they bring to an organization.

In doing so, your Pre-Sales responsibilities will include the identification and qualification of prospects and evaluating the opportunity within each while representing Melissa professionally, and all other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prospecting to uncover leads where there is an interest to speak to a Melissa’s Account Manager and learn more about our solutions (campaign specific prospecting).

Respond to incoming leads via online chat, web and phone in real-time to uncover the prospects needs and business case.

Engage the prospective customer via email and phone to qualify as a valid sales opportunity.

Following up on Trade show leads, Webinar and whitepaper leads to uncover product interest.

Once a probation period has been passed- when a prospect has been qualified, assist an Account Manager with presenting proposed solutions.

Other duties as assigned in inside sales.

Required Skills and Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Thorough understanding of technical or software products to be sold.

Organized with attention to detail.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Outgoing personality: We are looking for the type of person who is social and talkative; a customer service background would carry over well.

Should have genuine thirst for knowledge and be ambitious to continue learning and improving your craft daily.

Must be a team player.

This position requires full-time, in-office attendance from 9:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday, making this opportunity ideal for local applicants within commuting distance.

Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods while working on a computer.

You may be asked to meet with clients, or potential clients, on occasion.
