SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, performs, coordinates, and oversees the service and maintenance of security, fire and special alarm systems both residential and commercial. Performs associated administrative duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Services and maintains commercial and residential fire, security, alarm, and special systems.
Programs alarm system panels to central station system.
Maintains records of work performed.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Maintain company owed vehicle in safe operating condition.
Participates in on-call rotation for after hour customer service needs.
Oversees and mentors other service technicians.
Good customer skills and time management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to write reports containing technical information.
Knowledge of fire, security and special alarm systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology.
Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
Has complete command of servicing and programming CCTV, Access Control, Fire and Burglar Alarm Equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot CCTV, Access Control, Fire and Burglar Alarm Equipment that are sole path communications either via IP or cellular communications.
Requires multiple system manufacture certifications.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment, use of hand and power tools or working with chemicals.
Lift arm above shoulder level to put equipment in place.
Move objects weighing up to 50 pounds distances less than 20 feet.
Work in small, cramped areas, repetitive bending of the knees and legs, crawling, etc.
Climb ladders or steps to reach objects.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
All candidates must have verifiable work experience.
Must posses a valid driver's license and reliable car for daily travel between accounts. Good driving record is necessary.
Subject to background check and drug testing.
Flexibility to work weekends or be on-call if the current project necessitate
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Local daily travel between accounts
