Seeking someone to operate a steel cutting, abrasive saw to cut hardened linear guiderail to specified lengths. Will also assemble bearing blocks onto finished-cut linear guiderails. Requires setting up and operating the wet saw, performing quality inspections, packaging and labeling of completed assemblies and other related warehouse work. Receiving inspection of incoming materials and parts, computer entry, inventory stocking and cycle counting.
Prefer candidates with a minimum of one year of experience operating cutting machines, milling machines or similar equipment. Must be able to safely use basic shop tools like a pedestal grinder, standing belt sander, and angle grinder. Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with some exposure to dust, mild solvents, and machine coolant. Should be experienced with inspection tools such as tape measure and digital calipers - both Imperial and metric. Requires strong attention to detail with the ability to follow work instructions and work independently. Mechanical trouble shooting and problem solving a plus. Must have good communication skills and be able to stand for long periods of time and lift materials up to 35 lbs.
High school diploma or GED is required.
