Description: Job Title: Sr Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineer - ISSE Job Code: IMS20233101-96437 Job Location: Oxnard, CA Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: L3Harris has an opportunity for a Sr Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE), as it continues to develop and establish a foothold in the rapidly growing market space for Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASV). The role will be based out of the L3Harris location in Oxnard, California. The ISSE position is responsible for designing, deploying, documenting, and managing information systems and networks. This position requires experience in Information Technology and Network Security with a proven track record of success. Essential Functions: Analyzing and/or administering security controls for project information systems
Safeguarding networks against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure
Researching, evaluating, testing, recommending, communicating, and implementing new security software applications, hardware, and solutions
Configuring and managing firewalls and intrusion detection systems
Assisting the Field Engineering team with extraneous tasks as needed
Keeping track of all procurements and costs associated with various security projects and tasks
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Ability to travel up to 10%
Frequently lifts, carries, or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 35 pounds when setting up equipment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
U.S. Citizen
Must hold a valid driver’s license
Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
Currently possess required certification(s), at a minimum one (1) certification:
CompTIA Security
CompTIA CySA
CompTIA CASP+ CE
EC-Council Certified Network Defender
GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional
GIAC Security Essentials Certification
(ISC) System Security Certified Practictioner
(ISC) Certified Information Systems Security Professional
Preferred Additional Skills:
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Excellent organizational abilities, oral and written communication skills
Self-directed, organized, systematic, punctual, and goal-oriented
Solid attention to detail
Familiarization with Linux
Familiarization with SQL
Understanding of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework
Understanding of switches, routers, and VLANs
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $100,000 - $186,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
