Position: Bar Manager
Department: Sayulita Bar
Supervisor(s): Store Director (and Director of Hot Foods)
Status: Hourly, Nonexempt, Full Time
As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all staff and management provide a professional and comfortable environment for both Team Members and customers to enjoy the amenities of the Sayulita Bar and dining. Ongoing training and management of offering excellent customer service and product quality will be required.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the Sayulita Tap Room including but not limited to: Team Member training and service and overall presentation and vibe of the dining room and inventory/order control
Greet all customers in a friendly manner
Assist customers with food and drink purchases
Thank customers for their patronage
Maintain a clean work area including sweep and debris within Bar
Identify areas for improvement
Provide insight on Bar trends and identify new processes or food/drink creations
Recommend menu items and prices to remain competitive
Work with senior management to identify career growth for staff and management
Ensure we comply with all local, state and federal laws, policies and procedures
Essential Job Duties:
3+ years Bartender experience
2+ years Bar Management experience
Review constantly inventory and purchases against sales
Manage and ensure staff schedules align with sales
Provide and apply the open door policy to keep communication open for all levels of employees and management
Work with store and senior management to ensure policies and programs are efficiently and effectively working
All other Job Duties assigned
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to test alcoholic drinks for quality and flavor
Standing for long periods of time to operate the bar and registers as needed
Mixing drinks and preparing food
Lift and carry 20+ lbs
Bus tables and ensure dining area is clear and cleaned consistently
Will travel between store locations to support Sayulita Bars
Travel to corporate meetings and stores as needed
Use Microsoft suite of applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
Telephone, email and various office administrative functions

Climb ladders to retrieve product on top shelf/produce cooler
