As Sous Chef, youÂwill oversee dailyÂset up of the line cooks workstations with required mise en place, tools, equipment and supplies according to standards.ÂYou willÂcook and prepare all menu items in accordance standards set by the Executive Chef. You will prepare and produce menu items for the restaurant, private dining area, bar and special events, following recipes and yield guides, and proper plate presentation and garnish for all dishes you produce. You will supervise andÂmaintain the organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the entire kitchen work areas and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year prior Sous Chef experience in a upscale or fine dining restaurant
Five years experience in aÂupscale or fine dining restaurant
Experience in ordering food and goods from severalÂsuppliers
Experience in butchery and portioning of several types of meat and fish
In dept knowledge of sanitation procedures
Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
Food Handler Certification
Experience with All Stations of the kitchen
Ability to lift 60lbs and stand for long periods of time
Must have flexible schedule
