Busy Physical Medicine office looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy individual to join our health & wellness team as a Front Desk Medical Assistant. Days/Hours Needed (approx. 30 - 35 hours per week):
Please note that this position may require overtime due to patient appointments scheduled late in the day. If you are unavailable past 5:30pm Mon – Fri or the listed hours, this opportunity may not be for you.
Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 am – to as late as 6:30pm
Tuesday: 8:30 am – 1:30pm but as late as 3pm
Thursday: 10:00 am – to as late as 6:30pm
Friday: 8:30 am – 3pm
Wage: Competitive hourly wage & is based on experience and performance. Wage increase based on job performance/responsibilities. 90-day review and annual review thereafter.
All employees at Go Healthcare are cross-trained in various departments, as we find the best employees are the most thoroughly trained ones. So, while this position pertains primarily to the Front Desk department, please understand that you will also be required to learn some light Medical Assisting duties (including but not limited to: blood draws, use of centrifuge, ultrasound guidance, & NVC/EMG nerve conduction studies testing) as well as cross-train in various non-licensed posts.
Front Desk includes but is not limited to: Greeting patients, scheduling appointments, taking payments &/or setting-up payment plans, light chart documentation, filing/faxing/emailing etc., opening/closing daily procedures, recording of statistics, handling of new patients, patient follow-up calls, new patient lead calls, patient record requests, light inventory, basic cleaning/disinfection protocols
Medical Assistant includes but is not limited to: Venipuncture, use of centrifuge, ordering of M.A. inventory, assisting medical provider as needed, NCV/EMG nerve conduction studies/testing and printing of NCV/EMG report, cleaning/disinfection protocols.

Must be able to physically move quickly in a fast-paced setting and able to multitask well. The Front Desk Medical Assistant is a master multi-tasker whose pace can/will determine the flow of the rest of the office.
Must be a confident and caring person. This post requires heavy face to face patient interaction and our patients are accustomed to high quality customer service from our employees.
Must have flexibility with coming in earlier or staying later if needed, especially during season.
Paid training is provided for this post.
Must have reliable transportation and able to show up On-Time with no Excessive Absences. Moderate to excessive absences &/or showing up late WILL NOT be tolerated.
Previous experience is not necessary. Medical Assistant certification is required.
