Guardant Health is looking for an Assistant Manager who will contribute to the accounts payable operations of a publicly traded multinational company. The position will play a key role in the development, implementation and improvement of accounts payable operations and related system and process improvements.The ideal candidate will have proven accounts payable operational experience working in a public company environment with global operations. This is a highly visible role, working cross-functionally and partnering closely with multiple teams.To be successful, the incumbent will be a strong people leader, collaborator, communicator, project/process manager, with the focus on details and the drive for continuous improvement. The position will be based in our Palo Alto office reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Direct daily tasks of Accounts Payable staff and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoice postings and payments, identifying items of urgency and priority.Prepare and/or conduct detailed reviews of journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis for all accounts payable related accounts.Collaborates with internal and external customers to proactively identify, research and resolve processing issues.Builds and maintains business relationships with internal and external partners improving customer satisfaction and ensuring commitments are met.Measure the productivity of the staff to streamline processes and promote efficiency and continuous improvement.Support maintenance of desktop procedures to ensure current processes are accurately documented.Assist in corporate quarterly and annual auditors’ reviews with regards to accounts payable, provide reconciliation support to help facilitate an optimal audit process.Develop and maintain processes and internal controls for accounts payable operations identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.Assist in leading globalization efforts that aim to standardize accounts payable operations and increase efficiencies across the globally distributed team.Support financial analysis and forecasting activities, working closely with other departments, including FP&A to provide insights into business performance.Provide strong leadership, coaching and training to the accounts payable team, fostering professional development and growth.Participate in special projects, analysis, and ad-hoc tasks as required by management.Support ERP and technology initiatives.
