Business Process Analyst

Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Process Analyst to join our Business Innovation & Transformation team within the CAO on a contract basis. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and proven project management abilities. As a Business Process Analyst, you will collaborate across key departments, including People & Purpose, Payroll, and other Workday groups, driving operational efficiencies and strategic initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

Process Analysis & Improvement: Diagram and evaluate existing processes, identify new processes, and document current vs. future states.

Stakeholder Engagement: Organize, lead, and facilitate meetings while coordinating with stakeholders and team members.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze survey data to identify trends, assist in developing and assigning customer and process improvement actions, and report findings to the executive team.

Process Development: Develop process flows and procedures based on key indicators for future improvements, aligning enhancements with identified process gaps.

Root Cause Analysis: Collect data to identify the root cause of problems and align them with process requirements.

Project Management: Develop project plans, perform cost and benefit analysis, communicate risks, drive execution, escalate issues as needed, and report on progress.

Testing & Documentation: Design a test plan and support/document test scripts.

Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for the business outside of Payroll, People & Purpose, and Program Management teams.

Tenant Management: Provide approvals for tenant management and offer systems expertise for troubleshooting and other Q& A sessions.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Workday HCM Consultant, with a focus on Business Process Analysis, project management, and understanding U.S. payroll.

Project Management: 3+ years of experience driving projects, with 30-40% of the role dedicated to project management activities.

Workday Expertise: Proficiency in Workday Payroll, Payroll Accounting, and PECI Payroll.

Business Requirements Gathering: Strong ability to capture and document complex system requirements.

Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to align process improvements with strategic business goals.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive teams.
