Job Description

• Responsible for the IT infrastructure of an organization

• Lead the Engineering Excellence development effort

• Lead the development and delivery of strategic technology solutions that fit the business' needs, i.e. Cortex and related infrastructure for Medable’s backend

• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs

• Work closely with internal customers to help understand and clarify engineering requirements

• Collaborate with other teams within our organization

• Document our architecture approach and concepts for the development team

• Guide technology investments at many different levels within our organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related or equivalent experience
• 5+ years working in technology architectural design and planning or a combination of education and experience
• Kubernetes, MongoDB, Node js, C, C
• Strong architecture and design skills
• Knowledgeable about performance tuning and scalability
• Experience leading and mentoring junior developers
• Experience estimating capacity and work effort needed for engineering tasks
• Creativity and problem solving
• Excellent understanding of software development
• Ability to write code in at least one programming language
