Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative based in Pasadena, California. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in maintaining customer satisfaction and driving business growth within the logistics industry. Your role will involve processing customer requests, maintaining comprehensive records, and fostering strong customer relationships.Responsibilities: Efficiently receive and process orders through various channels including phone, mail, fax, and email. Provide customers with comprehensive product information to assist them in making informed purchasing decisions. Act as a liaison between customers and our warehouse/shipping department, ensuring smooth delivery of large or unusual orders. Regularly follow up on customer orders to confirm delivery by stipulated dates. Use your effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with our customers. Develop new business opportunities and drive sales by preparing and presenting proposals to existing customers. Use your intermediate computer skills to maintain accurate customer credit records and perform computer data entry tasks. Utilize your customer service skills to resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely and detail oriented manner. Requirements The applicant must have at least one year of experience as a Customer Service Representative or in a similar role. Proficiency in customer service is essential. The role requires effective communication skills. Computer data entry skills are a necessity for this position. Intermediate computer skills are required. Knowledge or experience in the logistics industry is preferred. The applicant must have the ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm and detail oriented. The ability to work in a team and independently is desired. The ability to effectively resolve customer issues and complaints is needed. The applicant must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
