Position: Reconditioning TechnicianReports to: Service Manager/DirectorRecon Technician Purpose: inspect, repair, and prepare pre-owned vehicles for front-line readiness in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform vehicle inspections to identify needed mechanical and cosmetic repairsComplete basic maintenance services such as oil changes, brakes, batteries, and fluid checksDocument all work performed and communicate needed repairs with service advisors or managementAssist with cosmetic reconditioning including buffing, light interior cleaning, and trim repairsEnsure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards before being moved to the front lineMaintain reconditioning logs and meet daily production targetsOperate and move vehicles safely around the dealership and service areasKeep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety proceduresKeep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
