The Production Support Laboratory Assistant will perform tasks associated with supporting the manufacture of modified oligonucleotides in a high-paced environment.  The Production Support Laboratory Assistant can be called on to work in any production support shift in the Oligo & Chemical Productions observing ISO 9001 & 13485 regulations as well as GMP practices.  This is an entry level role.  Shift 6a.m. -2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Performs all assigned job functions per documented procedures as directed by a supervisor.Responsible for the restocking of consumables throughout multiple areas.Responsible for the disposal of hazardous waste throughout multiple areas.Responsible for the cleaning of glassware and other laboratory equipment & spaces.Responsible for the archiving of small scale processed oligos.Performs monthly, quarterly & semi-annual preventative maintenance on Liquid Handling instruments.Preparing instruments to be used in daily production. (Such as: Instrument flushes & calibrations, water carboy filling, refilling bottled reagents, autoclaving)Ability to communicate and coordinate with colleagues and cross-functional teams, including EHS, Facilities, Procurement, Production, Material Handling, and OperationsStocking inventory to their assigned locations using manual and barcode scanning methods.Utilization of inventory tracking systems and reviewing levels of supplies.
