Description Our client is looking for a Sr. Accountant to join their team today! This is a temp to hire opportunity which can start immediately.
Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and assist in implementing audit recommendations.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
