In this job, you’ll complete and maintain duties related to Supply Chain. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for overseeing Vendor/inventory performance, identifying risk to the supply chain, working with PO data to support an accurate supply forecast. The Senior Specialist will work within the company’s system(s) of record (i.e., of SAP/EWM, Ariba, Supplier Network Collaboration, IGAM, SharePoint, Samsara, Web EOC, Microsoft Excel, etc.) responsible for data analytics, data mining, maintaining inventory program components that effect performance to the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) model, SCE inventory and overall supply performance.A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

Build and maintain relationships with internal Operating Unit (OU) collaborators to maintain/improve performance with material availability to support Southern California Edison (SCE).

Monitors and maintains PO data on a frequent basis while communicating with key internal collaborators regarding inventory availability.

Engages with Engineering to understand the technical application and changes for material while maintaining internal supply chain strategies to mitigate the impacts to the supply chain.

Proactively monitor PO information, inventory levels, mix, and/or recommend solutions for at-risk materials, including resiliency programs.

Support internal goals to lead vendor performance .

Use supply/demand forecast to identify at-risk material and adjust inventory levels/strategy accordingly

Provide corrective actions to improve vendor performance and SCE Inventory performance

Monitor business resiliency programs and work with collaborator to optimize performance

Develop and use technical tools to support the VMI/Non VMI program and expansion beyond the current scope.

The Essentials

5-7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement or related field.

Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in MS Excel to develop reports, presentations, and analyses.

The Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Production & Inventory Control or related field

Three years of experience in the field of Materials management, Inventory management, or Supply Chain operations

Experience in project management tools and methodology.

Experience participating on cross-discipline teams.

Ability to mine and compile data from various sources.

Experience scheduling, and organizing data within multiple assignments, tasks, and projects, and adjusting to changing priorities.

This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
