OverviewVectorUSA is looking for a Lead Access Control Technician with 3-5 years’ experience with installing and programming access control systems. As Vector expands our range of services, we continue to deliver smart technology solutions including Unified Communications and Collaboration, Innovative Infrastructure, Intelligent Surveillance, and Managed Solutions, helping businesses operate more securely and efficiently.Compensation Range Starting at : $75,000 / yr. and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision; paid vacation and holidays; and a 401k matching program.Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :Perform electronic security system installations (Electrified Locking Hardware, Card Readers, Cameras, Access control, Intercom etc.)Program Access Control hardware and software.Implementing system upgrades and updates.Perform network configuration checks.Serve as ‘Lead Access Control Technician’.Assist Sales Engineer w / site surveys as assigned.Knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio a plus.Review Preventative Maintenance Check documentation as required.Receive and interpret project documents (drawings, site surveys, permits, materials sold, etc.).Adhere to OSHA Standards.Minimum Requirements :Five (5) or more years of experience in low voltage installation directly related to security installations.3-5 years’ experience with installing and programming access control systems including but not limited to : Identiv / Hirsch, HID hardware and AMAGMechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devicesProven experienced in low voltage wiring and code requirements.Have working knowledge and understanding of basic electronicsPossess the ability to use diagnostic equipment / software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate network deficiencies, equipment failures and operational anomaliesUnderstands and follows safety guidelinesPreferred Requirements :Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reportsAbility to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of larger team reporting to formal project management.Strong communication and organizational skillsProven troubleshooting skillsAbility to quickly learn new systemsExperience with Microsoft operating systems and Office applicationsStrong customer service demeanor
