OverviewMercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. Mercy Medical Center Redding is an award-winning 267-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and da Vinci robotic surgery. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers north of Sacramento and houses the only Community Level III neonatal ICU in Shasta County. Visitto learn more.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Under direct supervision the incumbent is responsible for observing patients in their room to help ensure that no abnormal variances occur while under their observation. The incumbent will also assist the patient by performing non-clinical tasks and will work to ensure that no untold event happens with the patient. The incumbent is responsible for notifying healthcare personnel if any clinical issues for the patient should need attention. The position reports to the Director Nursing.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent level of work experience required
One (1) year of recent work experience required
Strong communication and customer relation skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
