Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are inviting applications for a Full Cycle Accounts Payable Specialist who will be based in our Redwood City, California office. As an integral part of our team, you will be instrumental in managing our company's accounts payable processes, working closely with the Controller, and potentially transitioning into an Accounts Receivable role. You will be playing a key role in the financial operations of our company, which operates within the construction like industry. Responsibilities Efficiently process and scrutinize all vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness before initiating payments Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating payment terms when necessary and resolving any invoice-related discrepancies Utilize Sage accounting software for managing and tracking accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely data entry and reporting Contribute to the monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements Collaborate with the Controller to develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all accounts payable processes Assist in month-end closing and provide accurate AP-related data for financial reports Gradually transition into an Accounts Receivable role, which includes processing customer payments, generating invoices, and managing outstanding accounts Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and timely processing of payments and invoices related to construction projects Oversee the management of account coding and auditing as part of the accounting functions.Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for this role Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is a must Knowledge of ERP - Sage is preferred Ability to perform Accounting Functions efficiently is needed Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is essential Auditing skills are important for this positionRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
