An Emergency Department Specialist (EDS) provides continuous and uninterrupted observation of patients who have been identified by licensed hospital staff to have behavioral health challenges and need to be observed for patient and staff safety. The EDS is responsible for responding to all emergencies and ensuring a safe environment of care for patients, hospital staff, and fellow officers.Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:
Must maintain a clean-shaven appearance.
Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Be free of visible tattoos on areas of the body that are not covered by standard work attire; tattoos on the face, neck, hands, or any visible body part must be absent or easily concealable.
Be free of visible piercings, including facial piercings, during work hours; piercings that can be easily removed or concealed are acceptable.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, as the nature of the job may involve continuous periods of standing and walking.
Healthcare, Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security experience preferred
Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Post offer, must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Assaultive Behavior certification as complete Advanced Emergency Department training
Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
Must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision
Strong organizational and decision-making skills; must be able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
