The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety protocols and the ability to communicate their importance to other employees. This role also involves providing orientation and training for patient services.Responsibilities
Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques
Handle pediatric blood collections and difficult draws
Ensure compliance and safety protocols are followed

Essential Skills
High School Diploma
CPT 1 License
1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting (Pediatrics, ICU, High Volume, etc.) OR 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a reference laboratory setting
Ability to be on-call and available for same-day shifts
Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in inpatient specimen processing
Experience in a high-volume setting
Comfortable with on-call work
Work EnvironmentThis is an on-call, per diem position that requires flexibility with working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, including weekends. Most available shifts are due to same-day call outs. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, for the first few weeks. After training, you will be on-call and may get pre-scheduled shifts, but most likely will get called in same day. The position requires wearing scrubs and being comfortable working in various locations, mainly at Kaiser Riverside, with opportunities to pick up shifts at Moreno Valley and other locations.
