We specialize in Superforming of Aluminum, Titanium, and Magnesium alloys as a 1st Tier supplier to major OEM’s. Established in 1974 Superform serves customers in all the major markets including Aerospace. A Manufacturing Team Member supports production by working on a variety of pieces of equipment including but not limited to; a hot forming press, Forklift, Bandsaw, Grit Blaster, Plasma Cutter, Clean Line, Tool Prepping, Shear Operation, or a 5-axis machine. This position performs various processes for Superplastically formed (SPF) metal components including, but not limited to, surface finishing, trimming, assembly, correction, touch-up polish, touch-up paint, and inspection. Utilizing a variety of inspection equipment including, but not limited to; height gauges, ball-micrometer, calipers, go/no go gauges, ultrasound, countersink gauges, calipers, micrometer and tong caliper verifying work meets customer requirements. This position also performs Shipping & Receiving tasks ensuring positive and timely Customer Service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepare material for SPF forming including, but not limited to; pulling designated material, shearing material to size, and preparing, loading, and unloading tools for use in forming of aluminum, titanium, or magnesium parts.

Prepare formed parts for the next process, including but not limited to; Plasma cutting, Cleanline, and trimming.

Utilize a variety of hand and stationary tools to hand-finish precision-formed aluminum components. Tools include a buffing wheel, airbrush finishers, sanders (belt and orbital), drills (stationary and pneumatic), routers, riveters (hand and pedal operated), and any other tools required for the process.

Operate a forklift to move raw materials, tools, etc. to the desired location.

Accurately and in a timely manner complete all production and quality documents supporting AS9100 requirements.

Read and follow detailed written manufacturing instructions and use a variety of tools to produce components that meet the specifications as stated on the shop traveler and/or blueprint.

Execute daily work duties to meet customer demands while upholding quality and safety standards.

Identify and escalate issues of material or machine operation that affect the quality of a part.

Follow all Safe Operating Practices and Company Safety Procedures, always ensuring a clean and safe work area.

Support Shipping and Receiving to include, but, not limited to; verifying quantity and condition of parts received, inputting orders into ERP System, preparing parts for quality verification, ID parts, packaging/loading parts, closing out travelers, etc.

Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts, as required.

Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal Regulations.

Importantly, as Superform’s success relies on the productivity of our team and adherence to customer product schedules, an essential function of this position is the ability to arrive to work on time, as scheduled, in strict adherence to the Time and Attendance Rules Policy.

Education and Experience:

One (1) or more years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment, preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. This is an entry-to-mid-level position.

Experience on the following machines is preferred but not required, Hot Forming Hydraulic Press, Forklift, Plasma Cutter, Clean Line, Tool Prepping, or a 5-axis CNC Machine.

Previous work experience and education directly linked to the position may be considered.

Ability to read Blueprints preferred. Knowledge of inspection tools is also preferred.

Must be familiar with safety requirements in the manufacturing area.

Additional Information:

$19.00 to $22.00 hourly DOE (depending on experience)

4/10 schedule- Monday through Thursday- 5:30 AMto 4:00PMwith overtime as business requires.
