Compensation: $95,000 – $125,000 per year About the OrganizationOur client is a premier engineering and surveying organization dedicated to executing complex private land development and public works projects. The organization fosters a high-performance, collaborative environment focused on absolute precision, strict compliance with California surveying standards, and seamless client delivery across public and private sectors. Role OverviewThis is a senior-level technical leadership position focused on managing surveying and construction staking projects from initial proposal through final delivery. Working directly on-site in Riverside, CA, you will manage client relationships, oversee survey workloads, process agency submittals, and ensure all field and office operations achieve operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Budget Management: Manage project schedules, operational budgets, resource allocation, contract hours, and scope management to ensure on-time delivery.Technical Quality & Review: Prepare and review detailed CAD drawings including Boundary, Topographic, ALTA/NSPS, Land Title, As-Built, and Subdivision Maps.Agency Compliance: Process project submittals with city, county, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate construction bid documents and contract administration.Analysis & Calculations: Perform rigorous boundary analysis, closure calculations, legal descriptions, exhibit preparation, and support construction staking calculations.Client & Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and public agencies to streamline project execution.Required QualificationsEducation & Licensing: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is strictly required.Core Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressive surveying and mapping experience, preferably supporting private land development and public works projects.Leadership Depth: Minimum three (3) years of direct management or supervisory experience overseeing survey staff and field crews.Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of California surveying regulations, municipal standards, agency procedures, construction sequencing, and site constraints.Estimating Skills: Proven experience preparing structural construction staking calculations and detailed construction cost estimates.Technical Skills & ToolsCore Platforms: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Software: Carlson Software knowledge is highly desirable.Additional Operational Details: Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate the daily activities of field crews and collaborate directly with engineers, analysts, and contractors.Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and project workload distribution.Benefits & Corporate PerksMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) and Profit SharingLife and Disability InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) and Personal LeaveEmployee Engagement, Team-Building Events, and Professional Growth Opportunities Kindly share resume at rakesh@chabeztech. com
