You will promote Procurement excellence by leading in the development and implementation of strategic objectives for the greater Procurement organization including business process optimization, technology enhancements-improvements, compliance management and methodologies. The role will support improving and enhancing processes, procurement performance, budget savings-benefits tracking, sourcing-supplier compliance and reporting techniques across all $6.9B in third party spend. Your interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills will be fully exercised as you lead a variety of strategies that focus on value creation, cost savings, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation as well as optimizing sourcing strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.As a Business Process Improvement Advisor , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Partner closely with Procurement, Integration Support Services, Operational Services leadership, other Operating Units (OUs), and external parties to identify, establish and deliver process improvements that drive greater efficiency, introduce digital automation, standardize, streamline, align with strategic objectives, and address the day-to-day challenges faced by Procurement.

Lead and project manage cross-functional teams to deliver on process improvement, process re-engineering and process design initiatives.

Integrate work across relevant areas, developing business plans, strategies that support the achievement of business objectives, manage information, and providing exceptional service and expertise to internal and external partners.

Assess current and future business processes for best work practice, and/or technological fit based on external market and industry practices.

Develop and implement metrics to monitor area of responsibility, identification of gaps, and implementing action plans to remediate. Understand, assess, and anticipate the internal/external strategic landscape of Procurement and its impact on category strategy.

Develop and implement innovative solutions to resolve complex issues while executing advanced organizational readiness change management strategies.

Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

!!The essentials

Seven (7) years of experience in a Procurement and/or Business Process Improvement environment or related experience.

Three (3) years of experience in Project Management.

Three (3) years of experience in a Customer Service environment.

Performed as a lead sourcing/procurement strategist doing strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance, and risk management.

Experienced in communicating with internal and external stakeholders and preparing and delivering executive-level presentations, recommendations, and briefings.

Knowledge and experience with OneDrive, SharePoint, and other Microsoft technology.

The preferred

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Certification or Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) Certification, Project Management Certification.

Experience developing procurement category strategies, procuring, and negotiating contracts with vendors.

Experience implementing and enhancing procurement tools, strategies, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Experience integrating strategies with technology solutions such as Ariba, SAP, and related platforms.

Experience creating project management plans that specify charter, scope, cost estimates, schedule, milestones and target dates, and risk management plans.

Experience tracking and reporting of project performance and closing out projects upon completion.

Experience consulting with clients, including independently identifying client needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results.

Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Lean-Six-sigma).

Experience in reporting and analytics area, category management and cost and budget analysis.

Experience leveraging change management techniques and methodologies.

This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
