In this job, you’ll be in the Company’s Human Resources Contact Center, and will act as a key resource/subject matter expert to HR’s client base and department management in a centralized internal contact center on specific program(s) and other assigned areas of responsibility requiring analysis and decision making. The successful candidate will interpret and communicate complex information to customers with a high level of accuracy; answers and logs customer questions on the full scope of HR Contact Center issues; researches and reports back on new or unusual problems; stays current on the plans and pursues continuous learning on the subjects and processes handled by the center; cultivates positive working relationships with assigned key areas; continues to work on self-growth and development. In addition, maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.As a HR Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Provide professional consultation and accurate information to all levels of employees, management, officers, employment candidates, retirees, and external contacts on a full range of Human Resource programs, products, services, practices, and policies, including, benefit plans (time off, disability, etc.), employee programs (rideshare programs, educational reimbursement, work life events, employee activities, etc.), payroll, compensation, labor, training, and staffing. Researches, evaluates, and resolves customer (internal/external) related issues.

Develop solutions and recommendations that are consistent with current laws, policy guidelines, benefit plan provisions, regulations, and contract provisions.

Interact with customers via phone calls, voicemails, emails, written correspondence, and face to face. Utilizes systems such as help desk software, case management, SAP, etc., to track, monitor, analyze, process, and document all aspects of customer interactions.

Build and maintain positive relationships with business partners including management, key area representatives, program vendors, and the contact center team.

Lead and oversee, or support one or more HR projects, programs or services handled by the center.

Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in program(s) and the center’s operations to optimize customer satisfaction and efficiency.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

!!The essentials

Three years of experience in the field of Human Resources

Three or more years of experience interacting directly with internal or external customers in a customer/client services environment analyzing and resolving customer issues.

Experience using customer service systems or customer information systems (e.g., SAP, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), relevant case management systems, or other Helpdesk Software, etc).

The preferred

Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience with HR policies or programs such as time-off, educational assistance/reimbursement, and commuter/rideshare programs.

Experience communicating both orally and in a written format to a wide variety of audiences.

Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and developing and making recommendations.

Experience tracking, monitoring, analyzing, processing, and/or documenting data/information.

Experience creating and editing reports and presentations, converting formats and information, using software and/or system functions, and generating non-standard reports from business applications/databases.

Experience supporting objectives and initiatives that help achieve organizational goals.

Experience working independently and efficiently when handling customer requests.

Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate and maintain positive working relationships with staff and all levels of management.

Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.

Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

You should know

This position’s work mode is hybrid.  The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
