Lead the IT Innovation/Product Engineering Team to develop, implement, and maintain advanced technology solutions.
Manage a product development engineering team using agile methods to engineer solutions in sprint increments to deliver Proof of Concepts(POC) to Minimal Viable Product (MVP) launch.
Establish engineering standards and partner w/ architecture to identify and catalogue technology patterns for reuse and help to shape innovation roadmap identifying opportunities to explore and technology gaps to close.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams such as advance analytics, UX, process and product to design product solutions to meet business criteria in the most cost-effective way.
Research new technologies continuously to drive innovation and sustainable change.

Communicates architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies, and gains interpersonal dedication from IT and business leaders for enterprise-level architecture, infrastructure, data, software, search, technology initiatives
Assigns architecture resources, directs the architectural work of key initiatives, architectural governance, architectural vision, roadmap, standards and guidelines, patterns, frameworks, and selection of appropriate tools
Collaborates and pairs with other product team members (infrastructure, UX, engineering, and product management) to lead their team members in designing secure, reliable, scalable software solutions
Coordinates architecture resources to establish reference architectures and design patterns, as well as delivery and support of the key reusable technology platforms and services to increase the speed to value of solution design and implementation.
Proactively reviews the system characteristics of all aspects of conceptual and logical architecture designs.
Leads team member in the development of portfolio architectures, population of enterprise application tools and data to help with application rationalization and technical portfolio and enterprise architecture roadmaps.
Serves as an escalation point for difficult architecture and trade-off analysis situation during solution analysis
Manages resource capacity, demand, architecture metrics for their team to support staffing decisions and resource allocation
Works with internal stakeholders, vendors, and the open-source community to help identify needed software improvements in products
Leads learning activities around modern architecture and design practices

Minimum Qualifications
Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
Experience in information technology architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Five or more years of experience in IT management, product management, or a related field, with a consistent record of delivering innovative technology solutions.
Five or more years of experience in IT software development in architecture and/or engineering role.
One or more years of experience with Artificial Intelligence and/or Generative AI technologies, application, large language models and domains in engineering products/solutions.
Experience and strong skills in leadership and team management, and ability to inspire and mentor team members.
Experience consulting clients and leading strategic conversations
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence collaborators at all levels.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest technological advancements.
Additional Information
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
Relocation does not apply to this position.
