Role Overview:
As a Seasonal Tax Professional, you will:
Build Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Conduct Tax Interviews: Engage with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools such as video, phone, chat, and email.
Prepare Tax Returns: Ensure accurate and complete preparation of individual tax returns.
Drive Business Growth: Increase client retention and promote additional H&R Block products and services.
Provide IRS Support: Assist clients with IRS inquiries and support.
Mentor Team Members: Support and mentor fellow team members to foster a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
PTIN and CTEC certified
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using virtual communication tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
Experience with complex tax returns (individual, trust, partnership).
Over 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
Skills in tax planning and audit support.
Sales and marketing experience.
Enrollment or completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course is advantageous.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $20 to $45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
