Remote Staff Accountant / Controller wanted
Currently seeking our next accounting rock star. We are a family owned Tax & Accounting firm based out of Sacramento, California. Currently seeking a Remote Staff Accountant / Controller with ability to demonstrate the following skills;
Financial records: Computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to maintain complete financial records
Accounts payable and receivable: Processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling them
Payroll: Processing payroll, including timesheets and taxes, and remitting payroll taxes
Taxes: Preparing & file monthly sales tax filings with CDTFA
Financial statements: Preparing monthly financial statements
Cash flow: Monitoring cash flow and conducting cash flow analysis
Bank accounts: Reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis
Software: QuickBooks Online
Communication: Maintaining strong communication with clients and team members
Budgets: Develop annual operating budgets and performance projections, and preparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts
Close processes: Assisting with year-end close processes
Cost and revenue: Recommending ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue, and providing consultancy to senior managers for cost and revenue analyses
Auditing: Coordinating audit activity and providing information to external auditors
Leadership: Working as a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to identify and implement best practices
This is a REMOTE position – ideal candidate must;
Have a dedicate work space
Be able to work independently
Possess an Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
Be proficient in QuickBooks Online, MS Excel & be comfortable working within a ‘paper free’ environment.
Demonstrate ability to work with multiple clients.
Be will to submit to & pass a full background check
