We immediately need a full-time service advisor to provide clerical and administrative support to an expanding business within the automotive field. This position requires independent repair shop experience with an emphasis on foreign cars, great attention to detail, and computer skills.
Fundamental responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain organizational skills and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Implementing productivity in a changing work environment.
- Understanding automotive problems and services by listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms, clarifying issues, conducting inspections, taking test drives, checking vehicle maintenance records, and researching service schedules.
- Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtain approval signatures. And enter repair orders into the service database system.
- Draft estimates by parts, supplies, and labor and calculate a customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Maintain automotive records by recording problems and planning corrective actions.
- Compensation is based on experience; reimbursement of relocation expenses for the right candidate will be considered.
