Bilingual Spanish Medical Receptionist

Description Robert Half Healthcare is hiring for a Bilingual Spanish Medical Receptionist for an upcoming opportunity. Main duties involve working with Spanish-speaking patients and facilitating communication between them and our healthcare professionals. You would be the first point of contact at the medical facility, serving to greet and assist patients.Responsibilities:

Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.

Professionally and efficiently handle requests from patients and ensure the necessary information is accurately disseminated to the appropriate department.

Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation in English or Spanish when required.

Communicate complex medical information in a clear, non-technical manner to Spanish-speaking patients and their families.

Translate during communication between the Spanish-speaking patients and the healthcare providers if needed.

Maintain patient records and appointments using the facility's selected software and ensure that all patient information is up-to-date.

Handle billing processes including receiving payment, creating invoices, and maintaining billing records.

Assist in coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.

Compliance with all health and security regulations.

Requirements

Requirements:

Proficiency in Spanish and English is required, both in written and spoken form.

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or equivalent administrative position.

Knowledge of medical terms and coding is advantageous.

Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, and medical office procedures.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathy and the ability to manage patient concerns.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly.

Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.

A diploma in medical administration is a plus.
