Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for an Insurance Verification Coordinator in Sacramento, California. As part of our team, you will be tasked with verifying insurance coverage details, interpreting insurance benefits, and handling a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of insurance verifications within our organization.Responsibilities: Verify insurance coverage for procedures and determine the allowed amount Calculate patient's estimated responsibility based on benefits and scheduled procedures Understand and interpret insurance benefits Possess a strong understanding of different insurance products such as HMO, PPO, and Medicare Advantage plans Comfortably discuss estimated balances and explain benefits to patients Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment Work effectively under pressure to meet and exceed goals Collaborate well within a team Understand how copay, coinsurance, deductible, and an out-of-pocket maximum affect claim adjudication and patient responsibility Process and post cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role or related field. Proficiency in Cash Posting is required. Demonstrable ability to verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients. Proven experience in communicating with insurance companies to resolve coverage and benefit issues. Strong understanding of insurance terms, benefits, and policies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Proficiency in using computer systems and software. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. High level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality. A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures or job duties. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
