These values support our core purpose; to build great relationships, one project at a time!Royal Electric is seeking a creative and dynamic marketing director to oversee and lead the marketing and proposal efforts for the company. The position will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and will be responsible for establishing the processes, standards, and communication protocols necessary for successful marketing development and delivery. The ideal candidate is a positive and collaborative team leader, able to navigate between the big-picture and details and can quickly direct team resources for dynamic proposal development and marketing project development. This position can sit out of our current office locations; Sacramento, CAMarketing Responsibilities

Ensure the availability of resources to meet peak workloads and manage the quality of materials produced.

Work with Chief Strategy Officer and other leaders to implement the goals, mission, and proper resource allocation. Make recommendations to improve processes, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Direction and oversight of the company marketing efforts. Provide guidance and information to executives and pursuit managers to increase the value and efficiency of marketing efforts. Develop new and creative approaches and stay current in production methods and technologies that enhance the competitive edge.

Develop and execute marketing campaigns. Steer the brand direction, collaborate across multiple departments, and drive the long-term marketing strategy of the company.

Management of the marketing team, provide weekly goals and follow up to the team. Conduct bi-annual performance reviews.

Managing marketing business practices, including advertising market research, technology, scheduling, brand management and budgeting.

Oversee and manage the multi-channel campaigns across print and digital mediums including, website, public relations, social media, advertising, videography, email marketing, and print collateral to increase brand awareness and grow market presence

Conduct strategic market analysis to determine competitive positioning, differentiation, and messaging

Strategize on graphic design to ensure best practices and company brand guidelines are followed.

Participate in the budgeting process and track marketing spend and metrics.

Train and work with the team on staying within marketing compliance and brand guidelines

Work with talent development team on creative marketing opportunities and social media advertising campaigns

Keep the company website up to date with current projects, marketing content and photos

Work with vendors that assist in marketing, design and print activities

Review and provide insight to the Royal Leadership team on new markets and trends

Proposal Management: RFP/RFQ

Apply experience and best practices in proposal team management to ensure the timely delivery of proposal submissions that comply with client requirements and RFQ/RFP instructions.

Manage the successful development of compelling and successful proposals through effective collaboration across teams that include internal staff, corporate partners, and subconsultants.

Develop and deliver training materials for proposal team and other staff to continuously improve our corporate proposal operations.

Provide insight, leadership, and work guidance to authors on all proposal content.

Manage the development of oral presentations, discussions, and proposal revisions.

Ensure the high-quality content and appearance of final proposal deliverables meet corporate design guidelines, branding and messaging.

Conduct and document proposal lessons learned and implement actions to improve process efficiency.

Support the team as needed to win new work through exceptional marketing collateral, proposal writing, interview preparation, and other creative client engagement strategies.

Ensure project profiles and data, staff bios, and other information

Ensure the production, maintenance, and access of marketing project photos and images

Requirements

10+ years Marketing management experience with at least 3 years or more in a director role.

Marketing experience in the A/E/C industry desired

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, Communication or related field.

Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce

Experience working on proposals, RFP’s and RFQ’s.

Established knowledge and ability to use Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as the primary platforms for creating marketing collateral.

Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, management and clients.

Excellent time management and organizational skills to execute marketing projects and deadlines

Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

Analytical problem solver that can motivate teams.

Salary Range: $120,000/year - $160,000/year
