Description Robert Half has an opening for an experienced, driven Senior Accountant to provide leadership and know-how to a growing team. This is a permanent opportunity in the Sacramento, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Requirements
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skilled at time management
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
BA/BS in Accounting preferred
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience
ERP system experience
Abila MIP experience desired
Deep understanding of Nonprofit Organizations
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
