Position Purpose:We are seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize our company’s transportation operations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage end-to-end logistics, lead a team, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the transportation function. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain and transportation processes, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of successfully managing large-scale operations.Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 annually plus bonus!Primary Responsibilities:

Transportation Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement transportation strategies that support company goals, optimize delivery timelines, and minimize transportation costs.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation supervisors, coordinators, dispatchers, drivers, and support staff. Drive a high-performance culture through goal setting, coaching, and employee engagement.

Fleet & Resource Management: Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fleet budgeting, and route optimization to increase efficiency.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage the transportation budget, analyzing cost variances and implementing strategies for cost reduction.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure DOT compliance with local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations. Maintain and promote a culture of safety, implementing policies and procedures to minimize risks.

Performance Analysis & Reporting: Use KPIs and analytics to monitor transportation performance and produce reports on cost, delivery efficiency, and service levels. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments like warehouse, procurement, and customer service to enhance logistics, customer satisfaction, and supply chain efficiency.
