Duties
Execute menus that meet dietary needs and preferences while adhering to food safety standards.
Supervise kitchen staff (as needed), providing guidance and support in food preparation techniques.
Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train new staff on kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and equipment usage.
Skills
Experience following and executing recipes is essential for success in our operation
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Proficiency in culinary techniques, including knife skills and meal preparation.
Ability to plan menus that cater to various dietary needs.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
Experience in catering is a plus, along with any background as a dietary aide.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Employee must be able to work on their feet 8.0 hour per day excluding breaks.
