This is a position for a Stick-shift driver or a person with their own vehicle.
Retired 80+ year old UCD professor needs a part-time care-giver who enjoys fitness and can drive him on errands (in his stick shift car) in Davis CA or in a caregiver's own car (gas will be reimbursed).
Ideal for a student who likes discussing history, literature, soccer, or for someone who is studying physical therapy & stroke rehabilitation. Client is alert and active but has cognitive, mental health, and physical disabilities. He collects rainwater for his garden and recycles avidly and will ask for help with those tasks. Primarily needs someone who can take him jogging at the track first thing in the morning, grocery shopping, help with light food prep (for example sandwiches and coffee) and some cleaning around the house after. He also needs to be driven to regular medical testing appointments every few weeks.
Hours 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday and Tuesday.
