Job description

Summary

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for the overall maintenance of the mobile home park property in all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations.

Areas of Responsibilities

Cleaning and improvements that include renovations of vacant units to turnover for resale

Responds to maintenance service requests from tenants and owners.

Responsibility to support the Community Manager in all phases of the overall physical maintenance and appearance of the property.

Light general maintenance of the facilities, grounds keeping, housekeeping to include laundry rooms, clubhouses, offices, the recreational areas, and other property-specific common areas.

The Maintenance Tech is to assist and follow all preventive maintenance programs, as well as all required state and federal safety programs.

Must be self-motivated, communicate effectively, and very organized.

Maintains or assists in maintaining inventory and prepares related paperwork.

Keeps storage facilities and equipment in an orderly, working condition.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience as a handyman or facilities technician a plus

Computer literate and possess the ability to learn the software to improve efficiency

Must have experience in all trades - landscaping, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.

Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work; able to use required tools and machinery; professional interaction with co-workers, residents, and vendors; knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements; knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work.

Ability to work while maintaining clean and proper work areas upkeeping a professional standard

Customer service oriented

Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
