Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in handling various electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a variety of settings, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Duties
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing facility
Maintain all components required to control machinery, including switches, sensors, programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and machine operator interface units (HMIs)
Recognize and effectively identify hazards and correct electrical defects
Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical systems and equipment
Inspect and maintain motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, and lighting
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical installations
Install electrical conduit and pull wire
Maintain efficiency and safety of all plant electrical circuits, assembles, and equipment
Troubleshoot and install encoders, linear transducers, and advanced sensors
Identify and help implement process improvements to optimize performance and production
Effectively troubleshoot issues for best resolution while staying calm in stressful situations
Communicate effectively, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions
Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area
Work may consist of overtime during busy production times
Requirements
2 years' experience as an industrial electrician
Understanding of industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, electrical, and hydraulic systems required
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and their programming, preferable
Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and circuit diagrams
Experience working with both high voltage and low voltage systems.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment, such as ohmmeters, effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
Work Hours
1 position - 3:30 am - 12 noon
1 position - 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
1 position - 7:00 pm - 3:30 am
