Position Description
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, or their designee, the Program Director provides comprehensive leadership for a Behavioral Health or Social Services program, combining strategic program management with hands-on clinical oversight. This role requires a dynamic leader who ensures high-quality, trauma-informed services while fostering staff development, maintaining collaborative relationships with county partners and community stakeholders, and driving program growth and continuous improvement. The Program Director is responsible for meeting contract deliverables, ensuring regulatory compliance, and achieving meaningful client outcomes through evidence-based, relationship-centered care.
This leadership position is based at Aldea's Fairfield, CA office with a hybrid work model that balances flexibility with the hands-on presence needed to support staff and meet program demands across multiple service regions. Aldea's Social Services division delivers Treatment Foster Care (TFC), Adoptions, Transitional Housing Program (THP), and Placement services to vulnerable children, youth, and families throughout Solano, Napa, and surrounding counties. These evidence-based programs provide intensive, family-centered support including resource family recruitment and development, permanency planning, adoption facilitation, comprehensive care coordination, and crisis response in partnership with county child welfare and behavioral health systems.

Qualifications:
1. A PhD, PsyD, or Master’s degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
2. Previous program leadership or clinic management experience, preferably in community mental health or nonprofit settings.
3. Current LCSW, MFT, or LPCC license in California preferred.
4. Comprehensive understanding of child welfare policy, Community Care Licensing standards and regulations, Medi-Cal/Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT), specialty mental health regulations, DMC-ODS, ECM, and other managed care requirements desired.
5. Excellent leadership and communication skills with demonstrated ability to motivate teams, manage systems, and represent the agency as a member of the leadership team. Maintains positive working relationships with staff, partners, community organizations, and stakeholders.
