Volt has an opening for a Senior Computer Operator for a client in Rancho Cordova, CA. We are looking for someone with identity and Access Management experience who will be administering Identities in Active Directory, including setting up accounts, administering access requests, creating and deleting user groups and suspending and terminating accounts. Volts Client is the leading provider of vision care and coverage and they are committed to providing superior eye care and services that create members for life.Local Candidates Only please.ResponsibilitiesProvide mentoring and instruction to coworkers including processes and proceduresRevise or document processes or procedures to better relate to area of responsibilityLead admin staff regarding workload assignments to improve the departments ability to meet business commitmentsResearch and resolve complex issues within area of responsibilityExecute/follow existing established processes and proceduresFollow established business policies and procedures to support the departments ability to meet business commitments including Service Level Agreements and Operational Level AgreementsGather, update, and organize information into useful reports used for problem tracking and resolution relating to online availability, mainframe systems, and batch processing issuesProvide assistance, via the phone, problem tickets, and email, to all customer resolutions relating to relating to online availability, batch processing, and batch printing problemsEnhance or revise existing procedures, that relating to data processing, that improve internal processes and procedures to satisfy both internal and external customersResearch and resolve issues utilizing appropriate tools, such as HEAT, Sysview, and ESP to aid in improving online availability and minimize system downtimeProvide on-the-job training relating to DR Vault management, batch processing, online monitoring, and batch printing to other Operations staff members improving our departments ability to resolve issues quickly to minimize the impact to our customersIdentify, research analyze, and resolve issues relating to network, Desktops, servers and mainframe by utilizing appropriate tools such as problem trend analysis, established troubleshooting techniques, spreadsheets, and process charting to minimize outages Represent our department in division sponsored projects to support the departments ability to meet business commitments by providing expertise in data center processes and proceduresRequirements:College level coursework within area of responsibility, or equivalent level of skill through on-the-job training, experience, seminars, and conferencesTwo to four years proven computer operations experienceProven ability to administer workload management strategiesProvide mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback to maintain the esteem of staffAdvance knowledge of PCs, Windows operating systems, NT, LAN/WAN configurations, peripheral hardwareGood understanding of the OSI model used in WAN/LAN administrationFirst point of contact for regional offices to troubleshoot issues relating to satellite offices WAN/LAN distributed network componentsProven HP OpenView experienceExperience with drawing packages such as Visio, or AutoCADExcellent interpersonal skills conducive to working in a team environment with all levelsProject management methodology knowledgeEffective time management skillsWritten communication skills to develop processes and proceduresInformation gathering skillsPlease note the following:This is a W2 position.Direct inquiries only.No 3rd party submittals please.This position is not available for Corp-to-Corp.This position is not available for Associate Vendors.In todays job market, "who you know" matters more than ever - and that is why you should get to know Volt.
