We are a civil sitework subcontractor looking for a responsible and experienced foreman to help manage a current project in Grass Valley that is supposed to last 3 months, as well as future projects. We perform demo/site clearance, mass grading, wet utility installation, finish grading & base rock installation for pavements, bio-retention basins.
Strong communication and organization skills, work ethic, and attention to safety are a must. We need to find someone who has experience with building water assemblies such as water meters/backflows/FDC/fire hydrants, etc. Capacity to occasionally operate heavy equipment would be a big plus; equipment we use includes excavators, dozers, loaders, roller compactors, motor grader, dump trucks, water trucks. We often use Trimble GPS on our equipment—please mention any experience with those systems in your reply.
We work on primarily non-union private commercial or residential projects, usually within a 50-75 mile radius of Sacramento. Compensation will depend on experience managing the different scopes of work we perform, and competency with different types of equipmentbase pay would likely be $40-45/hr but could go higher for the right candidate. Looking for someone to start right away.
