We are a civil sitework contractor looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator for current and upcoming construction projects. Base skill set should ideally include mass/rough grading, finish grading for base rock, underground utility trench excavation/backfilling, compaction. We need someone very strong on excavators, dozers, and backhoe; experience with dump trucks, roller compactors, motor grader, loaders, water trucks would be great. Some of our equipment is equipped with Trimble GPS and robotics—please mention any additional experience with those systems in your reply. Strong work ethic, attention to safety, and communication skills are a must.
We have an active project in Grass Valley and need someone who can start right away, we'd prefer someone who won't have to commute too far.
We work on primarily non-union private commercial projects, usually within a 50-75 mile radius of Sacramento. Compensation will depend on experience and competency with multiple types of equipment. Expect to work a 2-3 day (paid) "probation" period so we can evaluate field competence before we offer a full-time position.
