We are a civil sitework contractor looking for experienced heavy equipment operators for current and upcoming construction projects. Skill set should ideally include mass/rough grading, compaction, finish grading for base rock, and utility trench excavation/backfilling. Equipment may include excavators, dozers, loaders/backhoe, roller compactors, motor grader, dump trucks, water trucks. Some of our equipment is equipped with GPS and robotics—please mention any additional experience with those systems in your reply, especially with Trimble. Strong work ethic, attention to safety, and communication skills are a must.
(Forklift experience is NOT applicable—please do not apply if that is the only equipment you are familiar with)
We work on primarily non-union private commerical projects, usually within a 50-75 mile radius of Sacramento. Drug testing may be required. Compensation will depend on experience and competency with multiple types of equipment. Expect to work a 2-3 day (paid) "probation" period so we can evaluate field competence before we offer a full-time position.
